Timeline

• 1995

  The Pavelka brand appeared among the Slovak wines in 1995. At that times, Ing. Milan Pavelka already had years of experience with grapes cultivation and wine production in the conditions of cooperative economy. It has been a tradition within several generations.

• 1997

  The wine with the PAVELKA brand was registered as a trademark and belongs to the highest ranked wines in the Slovak Republic.

• 1999

  In 1999, the company placed a new brand PAVES – barrique red cuvée from the varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Frankovka Modrá and Neronet on the market. The wine which ripens in the barrique barrels has a distinctive taste and gradually becomes more and more sought-after.

• 2001

  In 2001, a white counterpart to the red wine with the PAVES brand was created by a unique combination of Müller Thurgau, Rizling rýnsky (Rhine Riesling) and Chardonnay.

• 2005

  For consumers who prefer lighter wines, there has been a brand called Chateau Zumberg on the market since 2005. Despite of French-German sounding name, the wine has a local identity – it reminds us of an extinct medieval locality in the area of today’s Pezinok.

• 2006

  In 2006, a new brand, Rosé cuvée, was added to the assortment and after a year, the assortment of the Pavelka brand was expanded thanks to a branded cuvée Trojka. It is a red cuvée of Frankovka Modrá, Dornfelder and Alibernet, ripened on the southern slopes of the Little Carpathians. 

• 2013

  The company started to produce a sparkling wine – very popular and internationally awarded from the beginning already.
